Today, I went to a factory in Kyoto to perform a medical check up. Although I have planned to leave home at 7 in the morning, I stepped out of the door by a quarter past seven. On my way to work, I got caught in an unexpected traffic jam. I was just very glad that I still made it on time despite not leaving home early as I should have. This experience made me decide that I should leave quite early next time to avoid all the hassles that I might get into on my way to work. When I was done with my task and left the building, I saw this beautiful cherry blossoms tree. I recalled the days when me and my old friends spent time just viewing cherry blossoms. They were my friends from my previous work in an entertainment office when I was just 22. There are times when some of my foreign friends would ask me why Japanese people like looking at cherry blossoms while feasting on delicious food and liquor. I seldom do that because I have ample time of enjoying it anyway. It is every where I go, surrounding me while I walk around the city. So I cannot give them a much more detailed answer than what I can say. Viewing these cherry blosssoms is one of the best memories I have and it still delights me up to now. Its like going back in time when I was on my twenties. ( Laughs ) Something that only cherry blossoms can remind me of. |
