I went to the bustling street of Kawaramachi in Kyoto with my friend. She went back to her mother country, Canada, for a while and then came back to Japan, and we arranged a meeting at the station of Shijo on the Kyoto Subway and we met again. First, we tried finding some book stores and music shops to buy some items we wanted. After walking for a while, we located a book store in a department store but that wasn't so good, so, we got out of there soon. Then we walked out the streets again heading to the next book store but second one wasn't so good either. As we kept walking along the streets, we passed by a music store and went in there. Again, we couldn't find anything that interests us, so, we left immediately. Soon after, we got hungry and started to search for restaurants which were not too crowded. I always like a restaurant that is flexible and spacious and she shares the same thought. In this case, flexible means that having a lot in the menu so that we could have various kind of foods. After a while, we settled into a restaurant in a building. I had a cup of drink and espresso while she had a piece of bread and a cup of cocoa. I found the restaurant very funny as they serve espresson in a very, very small cup, way smaller than we have expected...(ROFL) and she got a kick out of that! After that we went to a karaoke to pass the time. Because today was the last day of my thirteen straight working days including Sunday, I feel very tired. However, I am very glad to have gone out to Kawaramachi with her as I have never felt this good for a while. I am definitely going back there! |
